The other day my husband was looking through the most recent posts to the blog and asked why he is not in any of them. Well I thought since today is our three year wedding anniversary I would devote an entire post to him. I promise it won't be too mushy- we're not that kind of couple - just a few loving words for the man who makes our wonderful life possible.
We started dating 8 years ago and moved in together after a year and half. We got married three years ago today on a whim and sort of eloped. We only had ten guests at our weeding including Ms. Q and the photographer and no one (not even us) knew about it until two weeks beforehand.
He was very supportive when I wanted to decrease my work hours from full time to part time after the birth of Little M. When I thought I would like to start homeschooling Ms. Q he was apprehensive but agreed to a trial period. Before long he was teaching school on my workdays (he was home with the kids on those days) and planning field trips!
When I lost my job after the birth of Baby C, he was the one to offer me the option of staying home full time. He is trying to get his own business up and running and he works extremely long hours now. We miss him around the house but understand the sacrifices we all have to make.
There are many things we don't agree on and we are both stubborn when it comes to trying to convince the other of our point. But I wouldn't have it any other way. He's always ready with a silly joke and he loves just playing and hanging out with the kids. He's a great father and a wonderful husband.
Fred is my best friend, the one I have chosen to spend the rest of my life with.
Happy Anniversary!

A beautiful tribute to your husband. It is very romantic for someone who didn't want to get mushy. Life always has it's moments, but it sounds like you and your husband are making it work in a great way.

Lynda,
Thank you for your kind words. I find that sometimes our days are so hectic that I don't always notice my husband or acknowledge his help. Our anniversary is a day that we can appreciate each other and celebrate our relationship. (And yes be a little romantic!)
Happy Anniversary! This is a beautiful post to show your love and appreciation for your husband! I hope he liked it! :) Thanks for sharing this post on NOBH!
I am a new follower! Congratulations on your anniversary! We are celebrating ours in 10 days! I am happy and we have a lot in common about me being a stay at home mom and my husband being a little apprehensive of that, but also being supportive enough to let me do this.
I am thankful and always will be to him for that!
I'd love for you to stop by my blog sometime. Have a great evening!
